Abstract
481,691. Photographic shutters. JUNGHANS AKT.-GES., GEB. Feb. 16, 1937, No. 4675. Convention date, Feb. 29, 1936. [Class 98 (i)] A shutter mechanism is disposed in a housing which is furnished at its rear side with a socket 2 upon which is mounted a rear casing 5 containing delay action mechanism 14, and a setting ring 7 for setting the retarding part of the delay action mechanism, and for releasing the shutter mechanism is located within the rear casing, openings 20, 21 being provided in the wall through which the movements of the ring are conveyed to the shutter mechanism. The ring 7 is flat and fits over a flange 8 which is coaxial to the lens support. A projecting stud 9 and an actuating spring 10 are attached to the ring. A pawl 11 and spring 12 on the ring 7 coact with a toothed rim 13 which has other teeth in engagement with the retarding mechanism 14. Projecting portions 15, 16 on the ring are influenced by engagement with pins 17, 18 projecting through the openings 20, 21. When the handle 9 is moved clockwise, the ring 7 is turned and tensions the spring 10, the pawl 11 riding over the teeth 13. The pin 18 prevents return of the ring. When the pin 18 is moved to release the shutter, the ring 7 drives the rim 13 against the retarding mechanism 14. The cam-shaped portion 15 is thereby moved to actuate the pin 17 and start the photographic exposure.
