Abstract
481,490. Insoles for boots and shoes. STEDFAST RUBBER CO., Inc. Oct. 7, 1937, No. 27216. Convention date, Oct. 27, 1936. [Class 17 (ii)] [Also in Group VIII] The peripheral edge of an insole 7 especially if of fibrous material and for use in an open shanked shoe, is bound with a tape having a heat-activated adhesive film of guttapercha on its inner face which is applied to the insole edge and an outer coating of pyroxylin of desired colour. The tape may be composed of rubber-impregnated fibrous material, and need only extend around that portion of the insole periphery which is exposed to view, but preferably extends around the entire edge except at the heel.
