Abstract
481,398. Steam power plant. VERWEY, W. June 23, 1937, No. 17451. Convention date, July 3, 1936. [Class 122 (iii)] A steam power plant comprises one or more high pressure boilers a feeding a high pressure turbine e through a superheater c and also a low pressure turbine f receiving steam from one or more low pressure boilers or accumulators b and the exhaust steam from the turbine e, both such supplies first passing through an interstage superheater d. On low load conditions part of the exhaust steam from turbine e passes to the boiler b for storage, whilst for large loads steam from the boiler b is added to the exhaust from turbine e for feeding the turbine f. The boiler plant is in a combined unit and also includes economizers a<1>, b<1>.
