Abstract
532,909. Steam power plant. FOSTER WHEELER, Ltd., and SAMPSON, W. Sept. 25, 1939, No. 26575. [Class 110 (iii)] Superheated steam is supplied to turbine 2 and its exhaust is used in a generator 3 to produce steam in an independent circuit which is supplied to turbine 4. The exhaust of turbine 4 is re-heated in exchanger 5 by the hot condensate from the generator 3 and passed to a condensing turbine 6. The hot condensate after leaving the exchanger 5 is returned to the high-pressure generator 1. The condensate from turbine 6 is passed to the generator 3. Alternatively the exhaust from turbine 6 may be passed to other steam users.
