Abstract

479,961. Cathode-ray tubes. VEREINIGTE GLUHLAMPEN UND ELECTRICITATS AKT.-GES. Oct. 6, 1936, No. 27103. Convention date, Oct. 14, 1935. [Class 39 (i)] The electrodes are supported by means of insulators within a cylindrical or prismatic conducting body. In the arrangement shown a metal cylinder 2 is supported on the stem 3 by stays 5 and a collar 4. The cathode 6 and control electrode 7 are mounted in an insulator 8 in the cylinder 2 and a concentrating electrode 9 is supported by insulators 10 and supplied with current by a wire 11 passing through an insulating bush 12. The deflecting plates 13 are supported by leads 14 passing through insulating bushes 15 in the wall of the tube 2. The tube 2 is preferably made of ferromagnetic material and maintained at anode potential.
