Abstract
479,640. Drawing-apparatus for spinning-machines. HONDA, K. Feb. 22, 1937, No. 5301. [Class 120 (ii)] In a drafting-apparatus the cradle 6, Fig. 1, for each drafting unit consists of separate upper and lower portions A, B detachably interlocked the upper drawing-rollers 1, 2, 3 being mounted on the upper portion A and each roller spindle being pressed downwardly by a spring 11, Fig. 3, provided thereon. The front C of the upper portion A carrying the front roller 1 is pivoted at 13 and pressed downwardly by a spring 16 while if desired the rear end D, Fig. 7, may also be separate from the main part A. The top and bottom portions A, B are interlocked by projections 9 on the part B engaging recesses 10. The disc 13 on which the front C is pivoted is adjustably secured to the portion A by a bolt 14 extending through a slot 15, Fig. 5, while levers 19 pivoted on pins 18 and connected together are provided to depress the part C so as to raise the top roller 1. In their lowered position, Fig. 1, the levers 19 cover the openings of the recesses 17 in which the top roller 1 rotates.
