Abstract

453,410. Ring spindle apparatus. PRINCE-SMITH & STELLS, Ltd., Burling- ton Shed, and SMITH, W. PRINCE-, Hillbrook, both in Keighley, Yorkshire. April 17, 1936, No. 11060. [Class 120 (ii)] The bolster case of ring spindles is slidably mounted in a bush 2 adjustable in the ring rail, and is movable axially thereof by means of a knee-lever 6 to bring the lower flange of the whorl against a brake 9 which serves also as a holding- down finger. The brake is retractable under spring pressure along a supporting pin 11 so that the spindle unit is readily removable for cleaning and replaceable without disturbing the adjustment relative to the ring.
