525,167. Spinning-rings. FIELDING, W. Feb. 16, 1939, No. 5062. [Class 120 (ii)] A ring for a ring-spinning machine &c. is formed with a circumferential horizontal track which is spaced from the upper flange of the ring so that, when the yarn is at its lowest tension, the under part of the toe of the traveller bears on the track and does not engage the outside vertical wall of the ring ; the inner heel of the traveller bears in the usual manner, against the inner part of the upper flange of the ring. As shown the track 23 is formed on the upper surface of a flange 22, the lower surface of which forms a seating for the ring in the usual ring plate.
