490,974. Washing-machines. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.-GES. Oct. 4, 1937, No. 26843. Convention date, Oct. 2, 1936. [Class 138 (ii)] In a washing-machine wherein the clothes receptacle 1 is rotated unidirectionally, there is provided a partition 4 that extends from the periphery of the receptacle to a point somewhat beyond the axis 2 and a portion of the partition is curved concentrically with the axis whereby the clothes slip off in succession from that part of the partition which is at about 30‹ to the horizontal. The curved portion of the partition may bo fitted with a cover 20, Fig. 3, to prevent clothes lodging in the recess.
