531,147. Agitators for washing - machines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. July 13, 1939, No. 20426. Convention date, July 15, 1938. [Class 138 (ii)] A washing machine gyrator comprising a hub 3 with radial blade-like extensions 4 is provided with a protective cover 5 formed of wire or of perforated sheet metal to prevent the clothes from forcibly contacting the blades 4. The cover may be detachable, and recessed to engage the blades.
