Abstract

507,963. Ring spinning - apparatus. FILLINGER, C. April 8, 1938, No. 10767. [Class 120 (ii)] A spinning-ring 14, secured in a holder by a spring-ring 18, is provided with a track 19 flared downwardly and outwardly and with a face 20, the traveller being shaped to engage therewith by means of a leg 22 and top bar 23 between which a yarn-engaging loop 27 is formed. The traveller terminates in a hook 24 and a bent lug 25 respectively engaging a recess 26 and the upper portion of the ring. A taper 21 on the ring permits unobstructed travel of the yarn. Modifications are described with' reference to Figs. 4, 6 and 7 (not shown) comprising a ring with an inverted V-shaped top surface, and with an inwardly directed and an outwardly directed top flange. The loop 33, Fig. 5, of the traveller may be arranged in a plane at right angles to that containing the leg 22 and hook 24.
