[Class 146 (iii)] A fountain pen is provided with a hollow self-filling plunger 4 of approxi. mately the same length and capacity as the barrel 1. In use, ink is drawn into the barrel by withdrawing the plunger, the pen is then inverted, and the plunger is returned to normal position.
