Abstract
710,940. Fountain pens. MABIE TODD & CO., Ltd., and SEARS, E. S. June 24. 1952 [March 28, 1951], No. 7198/51. Class 146(3) A self-filling fountain pen of the type having an ink reservoir adapted to be filled by reciprocation of a plunger as described in Specification 451,275 is modified by the provision of grooves or ribs formed longitudinally of the plunger fer co-operation with a projection in the barrel to prevent rotation of the plunger. As shown in Fig. 2, the plunger 3 is slidably arranged in the barrel 1 of the pen, and retained by a threaded bush 2. The plunger is ribbed or grooved on each side as shown at 9 in Fig. 3, the grooves mating round the curved end 6. The projection co-operating with the grooves is provided at 10, Fig. 4, in the bush 2.
