Abstract

181,624. Shotton, W., and Clough, J. A. July 13, 1921. Reservoir pens.-In a reservoir pen of the nib-retracting type, a tubular member b, b' partly screwed into the outer end of the barrel a is provided with a helical slot c in its inner portion b', and has a gland d of cork or the like through which passes a stem g integral with a tubular member e, which is revolubly disposed within the tubular member b<1> and helically slotted in the opposite direction. The rod k carrying the feed-cup l and nib m is provided with a lateral projection n which extends through the helical slots in the members b<1>, e, and the nib is projected or retracted by rotation of a head-piece j secured to the stem g by a pin h.
