Abstract

471,612. Fountain pens. DE LA RUE & CO., Ltd., T., and KNIGHT, E. G. April 8, 1936, No. 10400. [Class 146 (iii)] In a collapsable - sac self-filling fountain pen, the sac is deflated by means of a tong-like device, the arms of which are disposed on each side of the sac, and are brought together by the movement of a plunger. The arms 5 may be pivoted in a ring 4 secured against a stop by a plug 2 screwing into the barrel, and are operated by means of a plunger 3 slidable in the plug and adapted to enter between extensions 8 of the arms. A protecting cap 10 may screw on to the plug 2, or on to the plunger. In a modification, the ends of the arms are brought together and enter slots in the plunger.
