Abstract
476,924. Moulds; moulders' tools. ACIERIES DU CENTRE. July 1, 1937, No. 18371. Convention date, July 3, 1936. [Class 83 (i)] In the manufacture of projectiles, bombs, torpedoes and like hollow bodies with walls of required thickness at all points, the core is rigid with the mould. As shown, the pattern b is placed in a flask a and sand packed therein. The pattern has a projection b<1> for centring a cover part d, which becomes the bottom of the flask during casting. The part d has a socket d<2> with screws d<3> for fixing the core after centring. The core comprises a cruciform or like bar f in a socket f<1> embedded in a sand core g. Removable rings or wedges h are used for centring the core as shown, after which the screws d3 are tightened.
