[Class 122 (v)] [Also in Group XIX] Driving and driven shafts 12, 2 are connected by an inclined shaft 14 secured to a ball O which is adapted to oscillate in a casing partition 19, a conical rubber hood 17 acting as a fluid-tight seal. The large end of the hood 17 is secured as shown to the partition, while the narrow end is clamped to the shaft 14.
