[Class 7 (ii)] An aircraft propeller drive comprises two or more engine crankshafts connected to the propeller shaft through flexible couplings 76 and spur gearing 74, 75. The flexible couplings may consist of sidediscs on the one member, enclosing rubber into which penetrates a single disc on the other member. A compressor may also be driven from one of the crankshafts through gearing and an elastic coupling. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 216,845, [Class 7 (ii)], and 405,526.
