475,102. Looking nuts. PISCHEK, F., and NIEDENTHAL, F. May 12, 1936, No. 13447. [Class 89 (i)] In nut-locking devices wherein a pin is inserted in a notch in the nut and a fixed sealing and the num ber of notches in the two differ by at least one, the notches and pin are tapered inwardly in width. Th( nut 4 has a reduced cylindrical portion f which is provided with notches and a sealing member 7 with a square base fitting into the work 1 has an upstanding part 8 with similar but a different number of notches. The parts are locked by a tapered tooth 9 carried by a spring ring or a wire 10 and having a depth sufficient to engage the nut and the sealing notches. The sealing may be formed by an integral projection on the work or by a similar but reversed check-nut.
