Abstract

362,692. Locking nuts. WHELAN, W., 6, Wingfield Villas,. Devonport. Dec. 22, 1930, No. 38499. [Class 89 (i).] A nut-locking device comprises two nuts 1, 3 each formed with a tapered recess engaged by the correspondingly shaped parts of a split doubly-coned ring 5, the recess in the nut 3 being tapered at a smaller angle than that in the nut 1. The ring 5 is connected to the nut 3 so as to turn with it by means of pins 9 engaging sockets 10 in the periphery of the ring.
