743,173. Locking bolts and nuts. G.K.N. GROUP SERVICES Ltd. Sept. 25, 1952 [July 2, 1951], No. 15585/51. Class 89 (1). [Also in Group XXII] Bolts have one or more helical grooves or flats 14 to receive correspondingly spaced teeth 18 on a washer 17 provided with two tabs 9, 19 extending radially and spaced ninety degrees apart. The tabs are bent up to engage the sides of the nut. Both the thread and the grooves are produced in a single operation by rolling between ribbed dies and the corners, at the intersection of the grooves with the thread, are rounded.
