491,646. Locking nuts. KRIWAT, H. Jan. 6, 1937, No. 372. [Class 89 (i)] A nut d having a castellated extension e is locked on a bolt a having an unthreaded radially slotted extension b by means of a pliable member g provided intermediate its ends with a key i engaging one of the slots in the bolt extension b, the member g lying in a space provided between the extensions b, e, and the ends g<1> of the member being turned radially outwards through the slots in the nut extension e. The key i may be formed on the member g as shown in Fig. 2, or by bending the member g as shown in Fig. 5.
