Abstract
474,870. Pneumatic apparatus. SERVO-FREIN DEWANDRE SOC. ANON. Jan. 26, 1937, No. 2266. Convention date, Feb. 7, 1936. [Class 8 (ii)] In apparatus for the remote control of the displacement of a mechanical member by means of a pneumatic driving member mechanism is provided which secures the full stroke of the member independently of the duration of the action of the operator on the control means, the operator opening the conduit 21 to open to pressure causes the pilot valve 21 to shoot back and it is locked in this position by the nose of the spring-loaded piston 27 which engages behind a recess on the valve stem and the follower valve 11 is simultaneously pressed back and opens up the conduit 12 to pressure which is conveyed through the pipe 34 to the cylinder 55 thus causing the driving-member 37 to advance against the action of a spring 29. At the end of its stroke the bevelled end of the driving-member presses back a cam 28 which is integral with the piston 27 and allows the pilot valve 21 to return to its initial position under the action of the spring 15. In a modification, the unlocking of the distributer is effected pneumatically.
