459,337. Gun mountings. BOYSSON, J. B. A. DE, 6, Boulevard Ornano, Paris. Feb. 24, 1936, No. 5547. Convention date. May 13, 1935. [Classes 92 (i) and 92 (ii)] A gun 10, mounted to permit of elevation and training, is automatically locked to its mounting on discharge by power-operated means brought into operation when the trigger is actuated. In the form shown, pneumatic servomotors 13, 14 of the piston and cylinder type are connected by branch pipes 11, 12 to a pipe line 7 serving to operate the trigger servomotor 9. Air from a bottle 6 is admitted to the pipe line 7 by a control valve 5 released by a lever 1 on the control handle 2 of the servomotor 3 which moves the gun mounting. The servomotors 13, 14 operate upon braking plungers engaging plates 18, 18<a> on the gun mounting. The braking plungers may be replaced by serrated members engaging notches in the plates.
