Abstract

474,194. Electric water heaters. KELLNER, L., KELLNER, M., and GEBERT, V. Feb. 15, 1937, No. 4451. [Class 39 (iii)] In a flow heater wherein the water passes through channels 10 formed between superimposed heating elements 11, the channels are formed by pairs of superimposed plates, one plate 8 of a pair being flat and the other 9 being corrugated. At the ends of the heater the water paths are spirals and at the central part the path is sinuous. The inlet passage to the heater is narrower than the outlet passage. The regulating valve carries a pointer 33 moving over a scale 34 calibrated for outlet temperatures.
