[Class 51 (i)] The grate for a kiln or oven furnace comprises firebars 4 hooked on to an upper transverse member of an open frame 5 located in the mouth of the furnace and constituting a steeply inclined grate supported at its lower end by a transverse bar 6. The bars are of tapered cross-section and their hooked ends are of angular form to engage the flat support.
