Abstract
470,627. Spray producers. GOLDSCHMIDT, E. March 25, 1937, Nos. 8807 and 8808. Convention dates, March 25, 1936 and Sept. 29, 1936. [Class 69 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVIII] Apparatus for spraying liquids, particularly perfumes, of the kind in which a valve 17 is provided between a liquid riser 9 and an atomizing nozzle 16 comprises a liquid vessel 1 to the base of which is attached an air vessel 4 communicating by a tube 6 with the upper part of the vessel. The base is recessed to contain an air compression bulb 22 delivering air through a tube-valve 26 to the air-vessel 4. In the form shown a stopper 8 carrying riser-tube 9 communicates with the inside of a cap 7 carrying an atomizing nozzle 16 to which liquid is delivered through a passage closed by a valve 17. The valve 17 is operated by depressing a knob 19 and is normally held in the closed position by a rubber spring 20. In a modification, in place of the rubber ball 22 a cup is cemented into the recess 21, the rubber tube valve 27 is replaced by a lift valve, and the upper end of the riser 9 is constructed so as to allow air to be delivered through an annular passage between the riser 9 and the stopper 8 into the atomizing head.
