469,375. Fastenings. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Feb. 1, 1937, No. 2890. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1936. [Class 44] A fastener for a pocketbook, bag, or like has a socket consisting of a bridge piece 9 pressed out from a flat metal base 6 which can be secured to the article by prongs 7, and an engaging member with a base plate 10 folded at one end 12 to clamp the article 2 and a pull tab 5. The forward end of the plate 10 is bent back to form a spring sloped portion 14 with a shoulder 15 to engage the bridge piece 9 after passing beneath it; side walls 16 are also bent up from the plate 10.
