Abstract
467,310. Free-wheel clutches. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R. Sept. 30, 1936, No. 26475. Convention date, Dec. 6, 1935. [Class 80 (ii)] In a free-wheel clutch included in starting apparatus for an internal-combustion engine and comprising discs d splined in a drum a and co-operating discs e splined on a nut b threaded on a shaft c, spring tongues tending to separate the discs lie in annular recesses formed in one set of discs. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the discs d are formed at their outer peripheries with tongues f which are bent out to engage in annularly-recessed parts of the discs e. As shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the inner peripheral part of each disc e is recessed on both sides, and around its spline projections e<1> are bent spring plates n, each of which provides a pair of bent-out tongues o on each side of the disc, the tongues engaging against the adjacent plates d.
