Abstract

Corrosion-resistant steel alloys for knives, scissors, surgical instruments, dies, and the like contain 0,6-2 per cent of carbon, 16-25 per cent of chromium, 0,2-2 per cent of molybdenum, 0,2-3 per cent of vanadium, and 1-7 per cent of tungsten, or, if the surface of the articles is to be case-hardened, the carbon content is 0,1-0,6 per cent.
