464,666. Regulating pressure of fluids. DEHN, F. B. (Lapointe Machine Tool Co.) Sept. 22, 1936, No. 25776. [Class 135] [Also in Group XIX] Comprises a device for absorbing temporary fluctuations in a pressure gauge or other connection of a hydraulic system e.g. those in a hydraulic broaching or other machine tool. The device 10 is shown interposed in a branch connection between a hydraulic cylinder supply pipe 11 and a gauge G. The pressure variations in the cylinder are communicated to the branch 15. The device 10 comprises a chamber 20 with coaxial chambers 24, 25 of different sizes. The lower has an opening 27. A cylindrical plug 30 with an exterior square threaded spiral groove 31 is pressed into the cylinder 24 of larger diameter. The bore 32 is screwed to receive a drag rod to withdraw the plug when necessary. The chamber 25 forms a sediment chamber.
