[Class 38 (ii)] In a system of the kind described in Specification 459,919 symmetrical current and voltage distribution on both networks at any power factor is obtained by applying to the capacitative and inductive loads voltages which or + 45 or +135‹ phase displaced with respect to a line bisecting the current and voltage vectors on the single phase network. As shown, the series connected phase windings 1, 2 supplying the single phase load B have tappings so that the phase of the voltages applied to the inductive and capacitative loads E, D may be varied to suit the P.F. at which the system is operating.
