[Class 38 (ii)] An arrangement for supplying a single-phase load from a three-phase network comprises a winding 3 connected between two phase terminals 6, 7, a second winding 1 connected between the third phase terminal 5 and a tapping 8 on the winding 3 and forming the primary of a transformer, the secondary 2 of which feeds the load, and a condenser 4 connected between the phase terminal 5 (or a tapping on or extension of the winding 1) and a point 9 on the winding 3 displaced from the point 8 to which winding 1 is connected. In a modification, Fig. 2, the condenser is supplied by the resultant of voltages derived respectively from the secondary 2 feeding the load (or another secondary associated with the winding 1) and a secondary 10 associated with the winding 3.
