495,937. Electricity supply. AKT.- GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. March 21, 1938, No. 8696. Convention date, March 19, 1937. [Class 38 (iv)] Running generators in parallel.-When the generators at one station are overloaded, their regulator R or R<1>, Fig. 1, responding to excess current, increases the excitation of the generators D, G, at the other station or stations so as to prevent overloading of the first station. The current regulation of the overloaded station may control the voltage regulation of the other stations. The current regulator may be connected, across several resistances S1, S2, S3, Fig. 3, in series respectively with generators G1, G2, G3 so that it does not operate on other generators until all the generators G1, G2, G3 are fully loaded.
