[Class 38 (ii)] Relates to an arrangement for interconnecting a single phase supply system and a polyphase supply system and consists in providing means for converting from the polyphase to a two phase system having phase windings e<1>, e<2> which are connected in series to form a single phase system e<12> and wherein one of the phase windings is loaded inductively and the other capacitatively, the amount of the loading in relation to the load on the system being such that the total wattless energy absorbed by this loading is equal or approximately equal to the load energy so that a symmetrical distribution of current and voltage on both the single and polyphase systems is effected.
