Convention date, Feb. 28, 1931. [Class 38 (ii).] In rectifier or inverter systems utilizing electric discharge valves 17 .. 20, the transformer 11 interconnecting the D.C. and A.C. circuits has a plurality of inductive windings 13, 14 and reactances 15, 16, 21, 22 are connected in the circuit of the valves so that two such reactances are included in any series circuit across any of the inductive windings so as to eliminate or reduce short circuits. Polyphase, inverter and rectifier arrangements incorporating the above means are discussed in the Specification. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 11539/09, [Class 38 (ii), Electric currents, Converting &c.], and 360,288.
