Abstract

463,189. Accordions. SHARE, M. Sept. 18, 1935, No. 25888. [Class 88 (ii)] [Also in Group VII] A garment for attaching an accordion to the person and for protecting the players clothing and the accordion bellows from mutual abrasion comprises a vest or half waistcoat, which is adapted to cover one shoulder and is attached to the accordion by some means such as hooks, to ensure that the garment is worn whenever the instrument is used. An adjustable back brace F and straps H, E are provided, the lower end of the strap H being attached to the accordion by a swivel hook M and the remaining three ends of the straps being attached in a wellknown manner. The strap H engages a buckle G attached to the back brace F, and the strap E is accommodated in a passage D around the shoulder as shown in Fig. 1. The back cover of the accordion is attached to hooks N on the right-hand edge of the front of the vest. The vest may be of velveteen or other soft surfaced material lined with sateen, and is provided with padded extensions C at the bottom edge.
