Abstract

379,625. Body harness; rucksacks. SCHWARZENBERGER, H. and SCHMIDT, W., (trading as SCHWARZENBERGER & CO.), 37, Forsthofstrasse, Nuremberg, Germany. Feb. 13, 1932, No. 4329. Convention date, Feb. 25, 1931. [Class 141.] A rucksack carrier frame comprises steel or other resilient strips 34, of unequal lengths, riveted together at the ends to assume an arched form, the strip 4 and a rigid fibre or like plate 7 attached to it being sewn to the rucksack, and the strip 3, which is connected to the plate 7 by fabric-covered strips 5, 6, resting against the wearer's back in such a position as to distribute the weight on the pelvic bones. Shoulder straps 2, 2a swivellingly attached to the ends of the arched strips are lined with felt, as is the strip 3.
