Abstract

460,082. Fabrics ; fulling fabrics. BRITISH CELANESE, Ltd. Aug. 7, 1936, No. 21798. Convention date, Aug. 15, 1935. [Class 42 (i)] A fabric comprising both animal and artificial fibres is subjected to a fulling treatment whereby the proportion of animal fibres at the surface of the fabric is increased at the expense of the proportion of animal fibres in the body of the fabric. The fibres may be wool and cellulose acetate. The fabric may be treated in a heated bath 2 containing soap or other lubricant and if desired a dye. As shown, the material is circulated by a rotating rack 19 and the liquid is agitated by air or steam jets from a perforated pipe 6.
