[Class 44] [See also Group XXXVI] A cable - end termina clamp for use with a bat tery lug is made up o two separate parts, one a body 1 carrying a resilient curved arm 3 and a rigid projection 5, and the othe a cam member 6 with a lever arm 7. The arm 3 fits round the battery lug and is compressed thereon by the cam 6 acting between it and the projection 5 and the cam 6 is tapered so that the compression of the arm 3 may be varied by varying the depth of insertion of the cam into the space between the arm 3 and' projection 5. A space 8 left between the arm 3 and the lever 7 in its closed position, admits a screwdriver or other tool for opening the clamp.
