[Class 60] The rotary cutter a of a wood-planing machine, running in bearings in a frame c, is sharpened by a stone p adjustably mounted, by screws q, on an arm e, which is slidable on, and angularly adjustable around a guide rod d in the frame c. The free end of the arm carries a micrometer screw k having at its lower end a slide block m bearing on a guide n on the frame parallel to the axis of the cutter a, and the arm is moved along the guide rod, to carry the stone p along the rotating cutter a, by a handle on a rod g ; the stone is adjusted by the screw k until all of the blades are sharpened.
