Abstract
458,030. Cables. BROWN, W., Clyde Works, Chadwell Heath, Essex. June 6, 1935, No. 16435. [Class 36] To prevent sludging of the oil in an impregnated paper insulated cable, the individual strands of the copper conductor or conductors are coated with lead. The strands may be of round or sector shape and, if round before the application of the lead coating, may be passed between rolls after coating to bring them to sector shape. Specification 404,137, [Group XXII], is referred to.
