Abstract
456,289. Cylinders. ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT CO., Ltd., Windmill Lane, Southall, and REEVE, C. W., The Park, Feltham Hill, both in Middlesex. July 9, 1935, No. 19584. [Class 7 (ii)] A cylinder head, which extends over several cylinders in line, and which has slots 29 on its underside between adjacent cylinders, is secured by bolts or studs 31 passing through the slots, or enlargements thereof, and provided with surrounding water-tight sleeves 35. These sleeves, which may be made of stainless steel, seat on enlargements 38 of the holes for the studs 31 and have flanges 39 which are pressed into engagement with the cylinder-head gasket by recesses in the cylinder-head face. The slots 29 have circular enlargements 30 at each end.
