[Class 29] [See also Group X] A refrigerator is provided with a heatinsulated cooling compartment 14 having means utilizing heat from the refrigerating- machine for inducing a circulation of air from the compartment. For example an outlet pipe 32 from the compartment is soldered to the compressor casing 26 of the machine. The warmth of the casing stimulates convection circulation through pipe 32 and this is aided by an entrainment effect due to the upward flow of air over the condenser 27 of the machine. Air is admitted to the compartment 14 through pipe 29. Alternatively a gap is provided in the gasket sealing the door 16 of the compartment to permit a limited entry of air.
