392,850. Refrigerating. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Steenstrup, C. ; 2250, Grand Boulevard, Schenectady, New York, U.S.A.) Dec. 12, 1932, No. 35196. Convention date, Dec. 12, 1931. [Class 29.] Compression machines and systems.-The aircooled condenser of a machine, e.g. of the type described in Specification 284,730, [Class 29, Cooling &c.], comprises a circular header 9 connected to the casing 1 containing the compressor and its driving motor and into which the compressed vapour is discharged and having vertical condensing tubes 14 closed at their upper ends. The tubes are secured to plates 18 which make contact with the sides of the heat-dissipating fins 8 secured to the casing as described in Specification 331,449, [Class 29, Cooling &c.]. The condensate passes from the header 9 through a regulating valve 5 to the evaporator, and the operation of the compressor motor is regulated by a thermostat in contact with the evaporator. The parts of the machine may be mounted upon the top of a refrigerator cabinet.
