456,505. Refrigerating. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. June 11, 1936, No. 16338. Convention date, June 14, 1935. [Class 29] Evaporators.-The evaporator unit of a refrigerating-machine comprises two sets of refrigerant circulating passages 26 into each set of which refrigerant is introduced through inlets 40 and 41, headers 19 for the sets of passages being provided at different levels and communicating by a pipe 39, the gaseous refrigerant formed in the passages being removed through an outlet 20 in the upper header. Each set of refrigerating passages forms an evaporator as described in Specification 450,654. Lugs 36 on the section embodying the lower set of passages are welded between the passages 26 on the upper section to form the two sections into one unit.
