[Class 20 (iii)] The sill 1 of a window or door formed with a rabbet 3, 4, to receive a rabbeted sash or door 7, is provided on its outer exposed face with a V-shaped recess 8 below the bottom edge 10 of the window or door, the upper, horizontal side 9 being in the plane of the said edge. Vertical grooves 15 may be provided in the vertical stiles 16, to prevent rain being driven past the window or door.
