454,902. Thermionic valves; valve generating circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., 63, Aldwych, London.-(Assignees of Heising, R. A.) Jan. 6, 1936, No. 452. Convention date, April 25, 1935. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] In an electron tube oscillation - generator of the regenerative type wherein the resonant frequency determining circuit is such that the periodicity of the generated oscillations is of the same order as the electron transit time from cathode 1 to anode 3 in the associated tube, the spacing of the grid 2 from the cathode is less than one quarter of the space from cathode to anode, so that the electrons early in their transit pass out of control of the grid ; the preferred ratio is less than one eighth. As shown, the resonant circuit 4, 5 with source 8 is connected across from the cathode to anode; a blocking condenser 6 is placed between this circuit and the grid 2. A byepass condenser 10 shunts the source 8. In a modification, the resonant circuit with blocking condenser is connected between the grid and anode. U.S.A. Specification 1,624,537 is referred to.
