Abstract

Pure magnesium oxide in admixture with pure beryllium oxide in amounts up to 40 per cent is heated to sintering temperature to form an insulating material having a low dielectric loss and suitable for use in short-wave apparatus and high-frequency condensers. The mixture of oxides may be moulded before sintering and may be worked by boring, sawing, &c. after being sintered.
