452,572. Receivers ; earpieces. HAUSDORF, E., 11, Spessartstrasse, Wilmersdorf, Berlin. Jan. 25, 1935, No. 2494. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1934. [Class 40 (iv)] In a receiver comprising an outer casing 3 fitting over the ear and a convex inner casing wall 2 which engages the ear, the diaphragm and the magnet or electrodynamic system are adapted to the curved form of the inner casing and may form a unit fixed to the rear wall of the receiver. The diaphragm 5 may be of cup-like, conical or similar shape. The magnet system is arranged within the concavity of the diaphragm and the distance between the diaphragm and the casing 2 is such as to give the best acoustic effect. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the diaphragm is operated by a moving coil.
